Mission of the AMITAI Foundation -
Our mission is to spread the values of giving, sharing and honoring the other, while encouraging innovation in our areas of focus through camaraderie and interdependence. The Foundation supports programs working to bridge generational and cultural divides and preserve Jewish cultural heritage and learning, with concern for future generations.
Funding Guidelines of the AMITAI Foundation
Areas:
In 2010, support will be provided to organizations in the following four areas: (1) Bridging Gaps, which includes programs that bridge socio-economic, cultural and ethnic divides; (2) Youth, with support for programs that help build wiser young Jewish leaders; (3) Innovation, which includes a focus on fostering innovation within the Jewish community; and (4) Special Projects, as defined by the Board.
Geographic focus:
The primary geographic interest area of the Foundation is Israel. From time to time, the Board will consider programs outside of these areas, if deemed particularly relevant to the mission of the Foundation.
Restrictions:
No grants will be made to individuals, private foundations or for loans.
Eligibility:
Organizations must qualify based on the Foundations Proposal Requirements (see Proposal Requirements).
Grant Information:
The grant range is: $5,000 to $50,000.
Grant cycle:
The Foundation welcomes your ideas and will reach out if it is interested in a full proposal. See our online form, and please send your idea whenever you like. Grants are awarded in April and December.
